DaVinci Code

The movie is releasing this weekend and the sony pictures is banking much on this movie (the last box office of sony was spider-man 2, i guess, and the recent disaster being Basic instinct 2). And people in the third-world and developing contries are protesting. In India, people go one step further when it comes to protest. What else, HUNGER STRIKE!!...none other than Mahathma Gandhi to be blamed for this. I think the movie is banned in India.

Well, I am not that curious to watch the movie. the movie is not gonna be different from the novel. The novel was amazing. I got the novel frm a second hand store (just a random pick) for my flight journey to Frankfurt. It was a real page turner. No wonder the novel is read by 60 million people. I bought the novel Angels & Demons from the same author. That was also a real page turner but it resembled DaVince code very much. I kinda liked Dan browns way of untying the knot. So bought many of his old novels from amazon. But they were total disaster, especially Deception Point. The story closely resembled Ice Limit of Preston & Child. Ice Limit was written exceptionally with finer details and no loop holes. Ice limit is all about a bunch of explorers crossing oceans to one of Chillies island to excavate a meteor and eventually also providing a evidence of Panspermia theory of evolution (I think this theory sounds better than Darwin's theory of evolution). Speaking in this line, recently there was "red rain" in southern part of India and scientists have found the cells in the "rad rain" without DNA. They believe they are "alien cells". Good to hear that!!

I think Davince code, the movie, will not be a huge success as the novel. I will watch the movie to see Tom Hank's performance!!

Watched the movie.. I shd say, I was disappointed. The movie seemed to be bundle of the important scenes from the novel. Screenplay, performances, everything was just about ordinary.
